Antonio Banderas: a gift of Malaga
As the voice of Puss in Boots in the Shrek film series, Antonio Banderas accent has become as recognizable as his face easily identifiable.
In the Spanish city of Malaga, Banderas began his acting career in films and television programs Spanish 1982. Only in 1993 he made his first appearance in a major English-language film – The house of spirits, with Meryl Streep, Jeremy Irons and Winona Ryder.
Flags originally wanted to be a professional footballer, but an injury when he was 14 put paid to dreams, but his heart has been on the celebrity and began working 19 years in the Spanish theatrical productions, however, is his Hollywood career who put on the map of fame.
After The House of the Spirits, Banderas appeared in the Oscar-winning Philadelphia. He played the lead role in Desperado, Robert Rodriguez with Salma Hayek. As a precursor for his role in Shrek, Banderas said Evita – starring Madonna, Jimmy Nail and Andrea Corr – forward with 1998 version of The Mask of Zorro. Then play the main role in The Legend of Zorro with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
In 2001, again worked with director Rodriguez, appearing in children's action / adventure film Spy Kids, as well as being thrown into the action.
For the moment, the names of flags was known throughout the world and its appearance in Imagining Argentina with Kuno Becker lead to name-drop high profile. When Becker was to play in the 2005 film Muñez Santiago Goal!, the player has finally been accepted into the ranks of Newcastle because the evil sister of Hughie McGowan – Model – It seems Muñez, McGowan explained by saying "she thinks you look like Antonio Banderas."
Banderas has also tried his luck the production of two films to his credit – 1999 Crazy in Alabama and more recently towards English (Summer Rain in English speaking countries) that began his wife, Melanie Griffith and daughter Stella del Carmen Banderas.
Although based in Hollywood, Banderas still passes much time in their country of origin take flight to Malaga to see his family and his childhood friends.
Besides the visit of Malaga, Banderas is also a stop in northern Spain where he owns a vineyard producing red and rosé wines in the company name Anta Banderas – but his performances always remind people flags, whatever the versatile career develops.
